BNI EDUCATION - Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, And Nobody

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, And Nobody

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done

How does this story relate to our 60 Sec. commercials? When you ask for Everybody, somebody, anybody it leads to NOBODY!

When you do your weekly member presentation or infomercial… you need to paint a picture. There are two basic ways to go about creating a great weekly member presentation:

  1. First is to describe an ideal referral to you… what does that person or company look like. Here’s an example: I am looking for an introduction to companies with 20 or more employees, preferably in the financial industry… cpa firms, payroll services companies, banking… an introduction to the ceo is ideal.

  2.  Or… better yet… get specific. I am looking for an introduction to facilities manager at ABC retirement village Company as they are a perfect match to my target market. The ideal person to meet is Joe Bloggs who is the CEO.

You can also ask for introductions to professions that are great referral sources for you. For example, an acupuncturist might ask for an introduction to other chiropractors.

It’s simple.. You need to help your fellow members to help you… by being specific.
